About Us

North Carolina Teens for Abortion Access is a nonprofit organization comprised of teenagers and young adults from the Triangle Area. NCT4AA is dedicated to preserving rights to reproductive freedom in a post-Roe America through fundraising, education, and community involvement.

Our Origin Story

On June 24th, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, a landmark case that ensured bodily autonomy for millions of people across the United States. Caroline Zhou saw the news and turned to fellow high school students who shared her frustration and wanted to make a difference. What started out as just an idea in an Instagram group chat quickly became an organization with a powerful team, and the drive to make a real change. Because of North Carolina’s critical location and status as a swing state, we decided that our fundraising should go to the Carolina Abortion Fund.

What We've Achieved

Raised over $3000 for the Carolina Abortion Fund
Advocated for abortion access and spoke about our not-for-profit coalition on a local radio show, WHUP 104.7 FM
Raised awareness about current reproductive health rights at Town Council
Collaborated with Carrburritos, Epilogue Books Chocolate Brews, and Lanza's Cafe
Held numerous bake sales at the Chapel Hill Public Library
